A travers la flûte

| Welcome to |
The association "A travers la flûte" has created the First
Maxence Larrieu International Flute Competition.
Maxence Larrieu is the world-renowned french flutist who
has for decades been a key figure at the "Conservatoire
National Supérieur de Musique" of Lyon, at the "Conservatoire
Supérieur de Musique" of Geneva and at the International
Summer Academy of Nice.
This high-level competition will involve talented young
international musicians and a jury composed of eminent personalities
of the flute world.
The association will organize concerts and exhibitions throughout
the period of the competition and will invite representatives
of groups concerned with the flute (manufactures, importers,
music publishers, etc.).
November 9th will be dedicated to the composer Jean Françaix
with concerts, an exposition and a conference held by Mr.
Lionel Pons.
" A travers la flûte " was created by flute teachers of
the Alpes-Maritimes who wish to share their passion for
this instrument.
Their objective is simple : encourage a wider appreciation
of the flute by exchanging different teaching techniques
and organizing concerts, classes and competitions. They
have already succeeded by creating :
- In 2002 - The "First Flute Festival" (Antibes),
- In 2003 - The "First Days of the Flute" (Nice),
- In 2005 - The "Second Flute Festival" (Menton),
- In April 2006 - The "Second Days of the Flute" (Grasse),
- In December 2006 - The "Third Days of the Flute"
(Monaco),
Since 2002 the association has also organized the "National
Competition for Flute Ensembles" and the "National Flute
Competition".
